About
Roots in the prairies, now growing a family on the beautiful West Coast of Canada. I am grateful to have lived in 5 different Canadian provinces and San Francisco, California.
While raising two energetic young kids I manage to keep my overall health in-check through daily rituals of yoga, cycling, hiking or walking, climbing the Coquitlam Crunch, gardening, lifting weights, as well as breathing near and like the ocean. You will always find me reading overly wordy and immersive Sci-Fi and High Fantasy novels, especially those that take place in the Cosmere.
Certified as a Yoga Teacher and Pilates Mat Instructor since 2010, I’m currently training as an Advanced Yoga Teacher in order to guide individuals in a private setting with a variety of goals and needs.
Group classes and personal sessions are always trauma-informed, all-inclusive, and created to allow you the space to come as you are and leave feeling your best.
How Yoga Has Helped Me
Of the vast amount of benefits yoga has to offer, the greatest effect it has had on me personally is that of a clearer, more open mind. My true self is no longer stifled by my previous self-conscious and shy demeanour, and no longer do I experience overwhelming anxiety in new or challenging situations. Yoga has supported me in many ways, and I strive to provide the same transformative tools towards the contentment and positive growth of both new and experienced yogis.
I have yoga to thank for my physical, mental, emotional, and energetic health. For allowing me to find my voice and use it. To be able to honour my body and my authentic self, and see the very best in all other beings.
Since discovering yoga at the James Bay Community Centre (shout-out!) in my early 20’s when I needed it most- my personal practice has pivoted and blossomed over time. I have gone from attending a group class every other week to a daily practice that supports my ever-changing needs. All of the above personal experiences, along with the many amazing yoga success stories I’ve come across, are the reasons for my wanting to share this practice with others.
I am grateful to be able to guide people on their own paths of health and healing with private sessions, Thai Yoga Bodywork, workplace wellness classes, and group yoga and Pilates classes around the Greater Vancouver areas of Coquitlam, Port Moody, and Port Coquitlam BC.
